Today was the big day. I officially have a preschooler AND a 1st grader.
They were both pretty nervous, but managed to smile for the camera.

This is seriously the look he had when we left (plus, maybe, there were a few tears).
He was much more smiley when I picked him up and I think he's willing to go back tomorrow. :)
Alaina's first day of first grade went great--her exact words, "First grade is so great!"
Currently, she can hardly keep her eyes open she's so worn out, but she likes her teacher and she made a new friend--so it seems like a success to me!
